Liputan6 En. Ver – At least 25 people were killed on Monday in clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and tribal militants loyal to the regime in eastern Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Tuesday that 25 individuals, the majority of whom were regime-affiliated militants, lost their lives in clashes that lasted for several hours with the Syrian Democratic Forces in the vicinity of the towns of Hawayij Dibyan, Dibyan, and Tayyana in the Deir ez-Zor province of eastern Syria.

Following the conclusion of the Monday clashes, the Syrian Democratic Forces, a US-backed alliance of Kurdish and Arab factions, expanded their presence in the region.

On Tuesday morning, they announced the expulsion of regime militants from the town of Dibyan after hours of infiltration into their controlled areas.

Since the early hours of the morning, the region has witnessed relative calm with sporadic reports of clashes.
