Indonesian Ministry of Health Receives

LIPUTAN6 EN – The Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes RI) has received the prestigious Govtech Prize at the World Government Summit (WGS) 2024 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The award was presented in recognition of the Ministry’s innovative SATUSEHAT program, which aims to transform the country’s healthcare system through digital integration.

The Govtech Prize is an annual event organized by the Emirates Service Excellence Program (EGSEP) under the UAE Prime Minister’s Office. The award recognizes outstanding government entities for their innovative solutions in addressing various challenges.

This year, the Govtech Prize was presented in four categories: Education Services, Health Services, AI-enabled Government Services, and Inclusive Digital Transformation. Kemenkes RI won the award in the Health Services category for its SATUSEHAT program.

The SATUSEHAT program is a comprehensive digital platform that aims to integrate all health data of Indonesian citizens. The platform will provide easy access for patients to obtain quality and affordable healthcare services. SATUSEHAT is also expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the national healthcare system.

The award was received by a delegation from Kemenkes RI led by Setiaji, the Ministry’s Chief Digital Transformation Officer (DTO). The delegation also included representatives from the Indonesian Embassy in the UAE.

H.E. Husin Bagis, the Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE, expressed his pride in Kemenkes RI’s achievement. “I am very proud of Kemenkes RI for receiving the Govtech Prize for its SATUSEHAT program. Ambassador Bagis further expressed his hope that Indonesia would continue to innovate and find creative solutions to address various challenges in different sectors, not just in healthcare. “With such creative and innovative efforts, we hope that Indonesia can achieve various awards that can inspire the global public,” he added.

The award received by Indonesia is expected to enhance the country’s positive image globally and demonstrate Indonesia’s potential as a leader in the field of health technology.

The Impact of SATUSEHAT

The SATUSEHAT program is expected to have a significant impact on the Indonesian healthcare system. By integrating all health data of Indonesian citizens, the program will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services. It will also reduce the cost of healthcare and make it more accessible to all Indonesians.

The program is also expected to improve the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia. By providing doctors with access to patients’ complete health records, the program will enable them to provide more accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Additionally, the program will promote preventive care by providing patients with access to health information and resources.

The SATUSEHAT program is a significant step towards achieving universal health coverage in Indonesia. By leveraging the power of technology, the program has the potential to transform the country’s healthcare system and improve the health of millions of Indonesians.
